Clinical study on the effectiveness of laser therapy in gonarthrosis
A recent observational study conducted at Sapienza University of Rome evaluated the effects of laser therapy on pain, function, and biomechanical parameters in patients with gonarthrosis (knee osteoarthritis). Twelve patients with grade I-II gonarthrosis underwent a course of 10 sessions of laser therapy (qmd® helios) over 22 days. Results showed significant improvement in pain (VAS), symptoms (KOOS, WOMAC) and gait parameters (gait analysis), demonstrating that qmd® laser therapy is an effective treatment in reducing pain and improving quality of life in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
